- The Recovery process is a journey. People often wonder how they can move on from their past traumatic experiences and achieve a meaningful and better quality of life.
- To get into recovery, it requires a willingness to validate the parts of you, including ones which are not ready or have not processed the past traumatic experiences. This may take time. There are signs you might start to notice which shows you are on this journey, which are:
- Appreciation for life
- Improved relationships with SELF and others
- Seeing new possibilities in life and for your future
- A sense of personal strength, and
- Spiritual growth and change (whatever this may look like for you) Rather than be a 'victim' or just 'survive', instead you can aspire to ‘thrive’.
